 A Chinese legend: The wise man and the horse

High on the rock, the wise man and his son lived happily. They had a beautiful white horse, for which kings had already offered much money, but they did not sell it.

One day the wise man came into the stable and his horse was gone.

The neighbour, after some time came to bewail the loss.

Then he heard the wise man ask: "Who knows whether this is a misfortune? "

And soon afterwards in the near forest they heard the horse's footsteps:

This came and brought from the heap a pack of wild horses.

The neighbor, after a short period, praised the win in a human way.

But the sage smiled softly, "Who knows if this is a stroke of luck?"

Now the son rode the new horses. They flew over the floor and the stone, their hoof barely touching the ground ...

Then he fell and broke one leg.

The neighbor, after some time came to bear the suffering with him.

Then he heard the wise man ask: "Who knows whether this is a misfortune? "

Soon, the drum roars through the streets: it is the war proclamation.

All young men must leave their country.

But not the wise man's lame son.

This is not the end of the story. Because the neighbor came after a certain time, praised the happiness ...
